Amsterdam and Kinderjik

Happy birthday to my grandpas! Grandpa John and Grandpa Dick have the same birthday and that day is today.

Over the weekened, my family and I went to Amsterdam and Kinderjik. In Amsterdam, we walked along the 16th Century canals, took a long canal cruise through the lock system, and took lots of picture. We saw the Anne Frank House from the outside where she hid from the Nazis. The first picture below is her house. We also visited the Vincent Van Gogh Museum and viewed his works of art.

In Kinderjik, we saw all of the old windmills, which were really great. See the pictures below for more. The Dutch are known for making wooden shoes. See the picture down below. It was cold, windy, and very rainy. On the way home, we ate dinner in Utrecht where there is a really old university.

Tomorrow we are going to The Hague (Den Haag) with my dad's class.We are going to the International Criminal Court.

I hope everyone is good at home. I will be back in Pennsylvania on Sunday. Bye everyone!

    That is cool that the two Grandpas have the same birthday! :) The Anne Frank house, the windmills, and the Van Gogh art exhibit sounded amazing! What a lot of cool learning you are doing. I can't wait to share these latest pictures with Allison and Zach when I get home. I particularly love the picture of you and Abby in the shoe! So fun!

    Hi Braiden and Family,

    I loved the pictures you sent. I especially like the ones of you in Kinderjik riding your bikes by the windmills - how great is that!!?? Amsterdam looks like a wonderful place with all the canals and museums; especially the Van Gough art museum. I'm also sure the Anne Frank house was very interesting - I can't wait to hear about all your experiences.

    We received the postcard from you and your dad that you sent from Germany today - thank you!

    I guess you're at the International Criminal Court today with your dad's class in The Hague. Enjoy ....

    I just came back from water aerobics class and the water was great. I thought the water would be a lot colder.

    I hope the Dolan family enjoys their day today and I can't believe you'll be returning to Annville on Sunday - the time really went fast!!!

    Braiden, some of us in class now 11:30 AM june 3 are looking at your blog right now! It looks like every one is missing you! When do you come back? Hope to see you at the A-C pool this summer when its really hot out! Even around town now and then! I hope your safe on the trip home from where you are with your family!
